aloe/ msm mask, face reggie

Happy Saturday
I hope everyone has a great weekend planned even if it to rest and spend time recharging.  I plan on doing some recharging for sure and of course taking care of some business.

Im going to go ahead and tell you what my new skin regimen has been this past couple of weeks, and really in the last week I've noticed a significant change in my skin.

Back before I got married, I was getting facials and glycolic peels every week for like 6-8 weeks. It was great and my skin never looked so good, it was glowing!
Now that i'm not doing that any more I've gotta find something that works for me, and I have started back using this glycolic facial cleanser and I was getting so desparate I started to use a glycolic peel (8%) from Skin Effects.
I got mine from CVS around here.  So I went hard on that and I also bought a battery operated facial brush/pad Wave by Neutrogena
Now I felt like the mix of the glycolic peel plus the sonic wave dried out my skin somewhat, and so I've only done that every other day, but in between that I also went for the msm mask.
I have to say that my skin is really cleared up alot, of course I still have the hyperpigmentation, but as for breakouts, i'm in the clear.

I really think the peel helped but I really also think the msm masks helped to restore healing to my skin as well as helped to detox the skin cells on my face.  I've done the mask every other day.

INgredients ( all the rest of the aloe vera gel in my hair bin) and 1 msm pill 1/4 teaspoon.  I mixed it up and let it sit and its ready for use whenever.
The application is smooth but does make my eyes water, like I'm cutting onions. I let sit for 10-15 minutes until it dries and wash off with wash cloth or even the wave.

Its been an eye opening process that I can do something for my skin myself without visiting the aesthetician! And that there are some natural ways to heal your skin. I'm looking forward to many more natural remedies. Its been so awesome already.

Till next time,

Adult Blemishes, MSM powder natural remedy

Hey Lovelies,
This post is for all those who deal with adult blemishes also known as acne, also known as a thorn in my side!!  I've dealt with pretty serious acne since I graduated college and it has really been something that I've had to manage over the years.
At first I thought I wasn't drinking enough water, but I also had a higher level of stress due to becoming a working adult, and I believe my body just couldn't handle all the toxins that stress was creating.
I love my mother because, not only is she a great mom, but she suggested taking some of these vitamins to help, and I tried them.  The one that worked for me the most was MSM methylsulfonate. It is a wonderful dietary sulfur that we should get from eating raw fruits and veggies if they are grown with rain water.  Of course I do eat my fruit and veggies but that rain piece may not always come into play.

So I usually take about 3-4,000 mg of the powder, with orange juice each morning, and it really has changed my life in terms of my skin.  I still get break outs and if I run out of the powder, my skin flairs up again in a horrible way.  I recently ran out 2 months ago and I am still trying to get my skin back under control with the MSM which is something I need.

Today I tried something different,
I made an MSM mask to help with some of the acne scarring, i'm just experimenting but I'll let you know if it helped to dry up some of the acne and improve the hyperpigmentation.  I don't want to share any recipe yet unless I know its going to work, so wish me luck in my homeopathic lab :-)

Until next time,
Stay Blessed!

Filled by Love

"When filled with God’s love, we can do and see and understand things that we could not otherwise do or see or understand. Filled with His love, we can endure pain, quell fear, forgive freely, avoid contention, renew strength, and bless and help others in ways surprising even to us."

These words from a missionary who experience a great revelation of God's love and subsequent joy!
This is the prayer of my life that I receive God's love to the point of experiencing true joy.  The kind of joy that is really available to me and all of us.

The thought came about while listening to this song which has been ministering to me and I hope to share with others soon in praise and worship.

New to 2012.

Happy New Year to you all!

So blessed to be living in the year 2012.  I am coming up to my 30th birthday on Feb. 1, and of course it is making me look back to all of the great years in my 20's and that which is to come in this next ten years.  I have learned so much and am coming to a wonderful place in my life.  Things I have learned

1) God's love is essential to a fulfilled life, it is the secret!

2) I am really stubborn and need to trust in God and others more, as well as surrender my will more
3) My husband @TimGreen is a wonderful musician and a true Levite, and my life is better for being with him and loving him
4) My gift of music is for an appointed time and will bless others
5) Pride is a nasty sin, and can be seen even in the little things like being stubborn
6) God's chastisement is really not easy to take, but that broken place is essential to growth
7) I get mistaken for a teen all the time, and I will one day love that
8) I don't want to fight or have bad blood between anybody, as much as possible I will live peaceable with everyone
9) I am a peculiar person.
10) I have a nerve tendency and it isn't just in my head!
10) God has a plan for me and you!

Cheers to the New Year!

Book Review: Me My Man and his Music

Hello lovelies,
Happy Holidays! Happy Kwanzaa! Today is Kujichagulia - self- determination. There are so many things to reflect upon in this past year.  I have been recently blessed to sing and lead praise and worship at my local church, Word of Life Christian Community Center.  It has been a chance to grow in ministry and also given me an ability to grow in God like never before.  In the spirit of Kujichagulia I am determined to follow the will of God in this area of Worship, and prayerfully submit to his leading as He forms and reveals His plan for my life.

This Holiday season, I've been relaxing and just finished a great book aimed for gals like me "Musicians' wives" It is called "Me, My Man, and his Music."  As a newlywed wife of a musician, Tim Green, I have always looked for support and resources and there seemed to be a lack of books for my particular type of marriage.

I love this book by Kim Mcquitty, because she gets really honest about what worked and what didn't work. She explained how a wife of a musician is going to have an untraditional marriage and to see the beauty of that as well as try to understand the complexities of it.   It was really eye opening and increased my faith in God and also my appreciation for my husband and the calling that is on his life!

If you are the wife of a musician get yourself a copy of this book, if you know anyone who would be interested go to her blog and amazon and support Kim McQuitty.

Thankful for another year of freedom in marriage,

mother wort updates and more

Hey all,
Thanks for following and reading.  I do appreciate your visits and hope that my posts are helpful.  So I've discovered that after a couple weeks of taking mother wort, that it is NOT for me. It might be for you, but not for me.  I had some side effects(inbox for details) that were not cool, but I've found that Passion Flower works for me. I've found, after a month of passion flower, that I have been calmer, less defensive, and had better clarity of thought.  I feel much happier, better able to deal with conflicts and also better able to move beyond conflicts when they occur.  So thankful!

I also have learned to get off that cafe mocha, cappucino, caramel macchiato, and onto some chamomile tea! It has calmed my nerves to the point that I sometimes think, am I different person/ personality?

Here's what the beautiful flower looks like: The history is beautiful! and has to do with the sacrifice of Jesus!
I will keep you posted but this has helped me tremedously to really live free!

Love and Blessing,
AGFREED!
